Objectives

To promote all human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international instruments through human rights education and awareness.

To initiate the peace process and campaigning to discourage any tendency, custom or tradition, provoking violence.

To work towards eliminating nuclear weapons and to oppose nuclear testing.

To campaign for the release of Prisoners of Conscience.

To bring an end to Arbitrary Arrests, Arbitrary Detention, Disappearances and Extra-Judicial Killings.

To work towards an end of all social discrimination, including untouchability and to support the emancipation of vulnerable classes of society.

Campaigning for the ratification of UN human rights instruments and modification of domestic laws as per these instruments.

To work towards the abolition of death penalty and the  eradication of torture.

To work for the electoral reforms.

To defend the human rights of women, children and refugees.
