BIOGRAPHY OF GANGADHAR ADHIKARI
Gangadhar Adhikari was born on 8 February 1979 at Chhisti-8; Baglung district, Nepal .He was born to Rabilal Sharma and Sabitra Devi Sharma,
1. Academic Qualification
Ph.D Running In Nepali
M.A (Nepali]: M.A. (Political Science), M.A. (Sociology), B. Ed and L.L.B. from Tribhuwan University Nepal.
2. Profession: Currently he is involved in teaching profession and associated with Tri-Chandra Campus Kathmandu. He is also Chairperson of United Scholar' Academy, Kathmandu.
3. Involvement in Human Rights Organizations:
Currently Gangadhar Adhikari is serving as General Secretary of Human Rights & Peace Society [HURPES] Central executive Committee [Elected from 13th National Council Meeting 2010 for the second term.] and he is Campaign Coordinator of HURPES. Earlier he was elected to HURPES General Secretary in 2008, HURPES central Committee member in 2006. He is also member of Amnesty International Baglung group-48 and also served as Joint Secretary of this group from 2003-2005
4. Involvement in Democratic movement of Nepal
Adhikari was involved in democratic movement of Nepal. He was arrested several times while campaigning for the promotion of Human Rights, Democracy, Peace and Free-press after 2059 B.S.
5. as a Journalist
Adhikari is also active in the field of Journalism since 1999. He also assisted to edit Peace Journal published by HURPES.
5. Contribution in literature
Adhikari published his first poem collection 'Kaidi Rahar ra Mrita Sapanaharu' in the year 2010 .He also contributed several research article, essay, contemporary analytical articles that has been published in various Nepalese News Papers and Journals. He is Founder President of Pratibha Sangam Nepal [B.S.2061] and Bhabak Abhiyan Nepal [B.S.2059, Baglung]
He is Founder Member of Smriti Prakashan Baglung [B.S.2058] .He was Chief-editor of Bhabak Kalam B.S. 2059 (Collection of Contemporary Literature) and Chief-editor of Yuva Darpan B.S.2058 (Collection of Contemporary Thoughts]
