HURPES is a membership based volunteer organization conducting research and campaigns. Peace Society is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit independent volunteer organization with a focus on non-violence, peace, human rights & democracy. HURPES was founded on 1st June 1996. It's members consist of activists who had previously been working with national & international organizations focusing on the human rights & peace.

424 HURPES National observer deployed in 30 Districts.
Human Rights & Peace Society [HURPES] is a membership volunteer organization working to protect and promote Human Rights, Peace, Democracy and Nonviolence since 18 years. HURPES observed parliamentary Election of 1999(Recognized by Election Commission of Nepal). HURPES is observing Constituent Assembly Election 2013. 424 observers in 30 districts of 5 regions covering mountain, Terai and hilly region will be deployed. In this connection HURPES organized a two day National Training/Workshop in Lumbini-Rupandehi on 28-29 September, similarly HURPES conducted four orientation programs for the observers in the Kaski, Kathamandu, Biratnagar and Butwal in the month of November.
HURPES conducted such programs and election observation from the contribution of its own members and welwisher. HURPES urges for the Free, Fair and fearless election to all the concerned party. HURPES already published a 48 page election observation manual for national observer.
Peace Society's mission is to create a culture where Human Rights & Peace prevail.
